Tae kwon do Raleigh is one of the most popular of all martial arts because of its quick and rather fancy kicks that it presents. Now if one is interested in this very interesting art, then it is best to go for a real class that is lead by a real instructor. Now just to give an idea of what this art is like, here are some of the basic kicks that one would be learning if he would enroll in a class.
The stretch kick by far is the most basic one of this art. It is a move design to try to knock out the opponent by swiftly smashing the jaw. To do this move, one must assume a fighting stance and stretch his hind leg up in the air without bending it.
If the stretch kick is the most basic one, then the roundhouse kick will be the easiest and the most commonly used one of them all. This is in fact one of the most crushing kicks because it makes both rotational force and the snap in order to create a smashing impact. In order to execute it, one just has to rotate his waist while lifting up his leg and just throw the kick while snapping his leg.
Another variation of that roundhouse is none other than the high roundhouse which aims for the head. As stated a while ago, it is a variation of a roundhouse which means that it can be delivered exactly like the roundhouse. This kick can in fact knock down a lot of fighters if it is delivered properly.
A high kick that can be delivered without the opponent knowing what hit him would be the out in kick. This is actually a surprise kick because it can be done in one move right from the fighting stance. It is done exactly like a stretch kick but is done with a curving movement from the outside to the inside.
The opposite of that move would be the in out kick which is executed just like the previous one but it is done in the other direction. This is yet again another surprise kick because it can also be delivered right from a fighting stance. The reason why these two kicks cannot be intercepted is simply because they can be done in only one second.
The last move would be none other than the side kick which is used to push the opponent away. Unlike the roundhouse, the ball of the foot will be aimed at the torso in order to push him. To do this, one must twist his body ninety degrees and use that torque movement to let a devastating kick.
So as one can see, these are some of the really basic kicks that one will be studying when he takes up tae kwon do Raleigh. Before he learns these kicks, he will be first learning how to condition his body properly. He has to do this otherwise his body will not be able to perform these moves properly.
