Which Areas Are Best Suited For City Bicycling

By Rob Sutter

City bicycling is an action which you can get behind but you're probably curious about where the best areas reside in order to ride. There have to be specific areas which are best suited for this activity, aren't there? You may ride around the block a number of times and while this isn't terrible, per se, you're probably going to have a bigger thirst for exploration that deserves to be quenched. You can do this easily if you understand where the best areas for cycling lie.

If it's an idea of traveling in established places that you're looking into, Portland, Oregon has proven itself. This is mostly because of a number of paths related to cycling that riders can take advantage of, said paths connecting neighborhoods and cities for easier transportation. In addition, it's a safer way to travel, which is something that I am sure a number of people want. I don't know if there's a greater incentive to take up this particular way of travel than this.

If you're looking for places that are warmer with a number of landmarks that are ideal for city bicycling, you may want to try out San Francisco first. After all, there aren't many sights much better than that of the Golden Gate Bridge as you bike across it. It also deserves to be mentioned that you can easily commute from one place to another in this area. It's just one of the many that can be cited by authorities on the matter like Linus Bike.

If you desire a hybrid of these two ideas, then I think it's possible you'll find something to enjoy about the cycling scene in Canada. A variety of landmarks exist in this particular area, the Niagara Falls being one of them, so it's clear that your attention will be drawn to them. Do not forget about the paths which exist, though. I think that there will be plenty of room to utilize your two-wheeled vehicle in; 2,400 miles or maybe even more than that for the sake of cycling, to be precise.

With a number of regions that seem to be tailor made for city bicycling, do not think that these are the only ones to list. There are many others which are just as capable - perhaps even more so - so it's best to look into them as well. After all, are you going to be entirely comfortable with the idea of staying in one area as you ride about? You're most likely going to want to explore other reaches, which is why I recommend these places in order to make cycling a better experience for you overall.
