The San Diego State football team plays all of their home games at Qualcomm Stadium, which is the home of the San Diego Chargers and holds over 70000 folks. San Diego college football goes back to 1921, and the Aztecs have won 3 national titles in that time.
College Basketball
The San Diego State Aztecs have made the NCAA basketball tournaments an overall total of 7 times in the history of the school. The 2011 season was simply the most prosperous season in the history of the school. Before the 2011 season, the Aztecs had not advanced out of the first round in the previous 6 tournaments appearances. The 2011 season saw the Aztecs win 2 games in the competition and become one of the last sixteen groups remaining in the competition. The achievement in the 2011 season should only make allowance for university basketball in San Diego to grow.

The college baseball team at San Diego State plays all of their home games at Tony Gwynn Stadium. Tony Gwynn is just the most distinguished player to ever play baseball at San Diego State University, but he has in addition produced one or two MLB players during his time as a coach. His kid, Tony Gwynn Jr, and Stephen Strasburg have both become quality MLB players after their time playing college baseball in San Diego.

The vast majority of the major college hockey programs are in cold weather conditions cities. The chilly weather makes it far easier to be able to practice and develop the abilities wished to win at hockey.
