How A Gift Saved Me From Danger

By Stefen B Trudeau

My Uncle Ken handed me a stun weapon flashlight as a gift for my previous birthday. I never really paid attention to its precise use as well as importance. But I did have this beside me regularly considering that I had to stroll 100 meters where it was eerily dark coming back home. So, this was much more a flashlight than a personal defense weapon for me.

I finally got to check out the system while waiting around for a pal at a diner. I did remember Uncle Ken telling stun guns were well-known considering that they were non-lethal and left no long-lasting harm. And while the effects were quick, these were just short-term.

He obtained me a flashlight stun gun exactly because it served a dual purpose, for light and personal protection. And in the event that I needed to use it for defense, the light could blind temporarily and also disorient my very own assailant, providing me a chance to zap him.

Well, what do you know? I had been listening to my uncle, after all. But I could not quite remember what he said about how potent my personal stun gun was. I checked and it said 4 million volts. Incredible, this must be a high voltage stun device and the electrical probes were not even seen.

It turned out I was about to try out the device on my walk home. The minute the man nabbed my arm as well as dragged me, the flashlight was illuminating my path. Although panicked, I was able to push the switch that released the electric shock.

I managed to stick it to his shoulder and was similarly surprised at the effect right after a two-second contact. He froze and then lost his balance while releasing my arm. I staggered back and watched him slump down.

I felt cold sweat break on my forehead and that spurred me to action. I witnessed his muscles quiver before I ultimately got away.

The instant I arrived home, I stared in awe at my new closest friend: my stun gun with light. Now, I am aware of its precise significance to me - my personal safety.
