Adventure Race Training: Can It Be Used For New Smash Bros. Characters?

By Rob Sutter

E3 has definitely kept my attention recently and it is all because of the slew of games which are on the horizon right now. When it comes to the particular titles, though, I believe that "Super Smash Bros." has kept me attentive more than any other. A series that has featured gaming's most iconic characters in a fighting environment is one that will spawn a new game soon enough. With new fighters coming into the fray, how can adventure race training help in them in anticipation?

I believe the most iconic of the debuting characters in the next game has got to be Mega Man, who was widely anticipated by the fans. He was one of the many that fans demanded be in the series, right alongside Sonic the Hedgehog. Now that Capcom's mascot has seemingly made his appearance, the robot fighter now has to prove himself in this field. While he may be a machine, the truth is that he's going to have to limber up his metallic limbs if he wants to compete.

In comparison to Mega Man, I think that the Villager from Animal Crossing is going to be much better. Consider the fact that, in this particular series of games, the Villager has to engage in physical activities. For example, one of the items that this character has in his arsenal is a big net that is typically used to catch insects. This may not be the most strenuous activity in the world but it's one that may come into play in this lighthearted fighting game.

The character that I am talking about is the only female reveal we have seen so far, the Wii Fit Trainer. If you've ever seen instructional videos, you probably have a good idea of what this fighter is all about; staying limber and performing careful stretches. I believe that she could actually function well in events like Spartan Race, though. Considering the kind of physical activity that is needed to engage in adventure race training, I believe that her athleticism can come into play in great fashion.

No matter whom you're looking about when it comes to the upcoming "Smash Bros." title, I don't think anyone can disagree with the impact that adventure race training can have. It will be able to test you for when you actually find yourself in an event that will push to your limits and perhaps then some. These three characters definitely had varying levels of reception from the crowd. However, I'm sure that gamers are going to be interested in seeing how they fare in the long run.
