Amateur and Youth Sports Across Houston

Getting your kid involved in amateur sports in Houston is a good way for them to learn about goal-setting, good sportsmanship, and teamwork. It can also increase their self-esteem and keep them physically healthy. Also , along with learning the game, they can have some fun doing it!

Houston Youth Baseball

A well-known Houston youth baseball team is the Banditos Baseball Club. They permit boys from the ages of 8-14 to join the team. They were established in 1996, and many players have experienced further success from playing a part. They are found in the Houston, Texas area and inspire players to compete as much as they can while still having fun. Throughout the years, the Banditos Baseball Club have won a considerable number of both state and countrywide championships.

The First Tee Junior Golf Program

The First Tee Junior Golf Program encourages kids ages 7-18 to learn all about the rules of golf. The program offers 3 levels for participants: birdie, eagle and par. It is a program that goes on all year and is also free. You can sign up your youngster for four-week sessions at The First Tee of Houston Junior Golf Facility.

Football Youth Team in Houston

The Greater Houston Youth Football League hosts multiple teams for young people: The Tiny Mites (35 pounds - 75 pounds), The Mitey Mites (45 pounds - 90 pounds), The Junior Peewee (60 - 105 pounds), Peewee (72- 120 pounds), Junior Midgets (85 - 135 pounds), and the Midget team (105 - 160 pounds). Practice starts on August 1st to make preparations for the season openers, which usually occur in late Aug or early September. Each team plays 7-9 games, and so as to take part, players must submit a copy of their report cards.

Youth Hockey Team in Houston

The Team Houston Hockey Academy, in association with the Houston Indoor Sports and Hitmen Junior Hockey Association, lately introduced this academy for younger people, and it is free to take part thanks to grants and donations. Last Labor Day, the Midget Major Team won the Gold Division championship of the Texas Shootout. Their team encourages academic accomplishment as well as perfecting the sport.
