Conflict And Unrest Part Of Prophecy In The News Today

By Lynn Beard

Some days it may feel as if the world is changing. Every day there are stories of endless conflict. Terror seems to occur as a much more rapid rate than ever before. With all of this comes a need to understand all these changes. Many have begun to pay a lot of attention to prophetic information and are turning to religion to help them answer questions regarding prophecy in the news today.

Prophecy are Biblical predictions contained in Christian scripture, predicted thousands of years ago, that many believe is now coming to pass. The events of today's often confusing world is not the only time prophesy has come to pass. Many believe Christ's birth and death were predicted in the old testament of the Bible, and did not become fact for thousands of years.

Contained in the passion psalm and the book of Isaiah are descriptions of a future messiah whom the world would reject. In the pages of the New Testament these very acts are recorded. Also contained in the Old Testament, written thousands of years before the birth of Christ, are predictions he will come from the city of Nazareth and that he would be riding a donkey to a celebration. Psalm Sunday, even celebrated today, is the celebration of that event in the New Testament.

If God fulfilled his promises and predictions in the old testament concerning Jesus, it may also be true that prophecies concerning his second coming will be fulfilled, or at least, many Christians believe so. It is then impossible to separate prophetic news from Christianity. Believers are deeply interested in what the bible refers to as the last days.

This is because today's world is no longer at peace, and conflict and unrest seem a daily event. Christianity's teachings make sense of this by explaining that man always has the right to choose good or evil, and that his dissatisfaction has led to enormous unrest. There are other facts as well, such as a one world currency the bible predicts, currently being discussed and debated. There is also the number described in the bible that will be on the foreheads and hands. Today there is a chip in-plant being tested.

Many ministers and religious teachers offer a myriad of sites on the Internet to help those in question understand current events and prophetic scripture. They also help individuals put international events in the proper context, and explain how these events fit into God's plan. Ultimately, this helps individuals make sense of the world in which they live.

Many of the prophecies are obtained through the book of Revelations. Teachers on online websites explain news, and give understanding related to end of time philosophies. Current conflicts are often part of biblical predictions and the websites help understand them in relationship to the world we now live in.

They relate this to current conflicts, the collapse of nations and financial instability. Most of them use the book of Revelations as a base for belief and teaching, as well as Matthew, Thessalonians, Daniel, Jeremiah, Isaiah, and Ezekiel. Studies of such teachings can be found at video upload sites, as well as individual websites, magazines, and Internet news stations relating to prophecy in the news today.
